There’s nothing as healthy as a great looking smoothie packed with fresh seasonal produce. Blueberries and cranberries are what your body needs to get rid of illegal drugs, toxins, medications, and alcohols that build up over time.
The combination of blueberries, cranberries and fresh lettuce results in a fresh delicious smoothie with a purple bursting color and a tropical taste from lime. Cranberries are vital for supporting the urinary tract and preventing impending tract infection by blocking the bacteria from binding to the urinary tract.
Despite offering the purple delicious color, the berries contain a photochemical referred to as anthocyanin which is the pigment that gives it color. The special photochemical may work as an antioxidant to get rid of cancerous cells from spreading. The berries are also high in antioxidants and help reduce aging.
Chia seeds, on the other hand, are a great addition to this recipe as they offer a omega 3 acids. Also, their consumption may also reduce the chances of developing certain disease such as diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Flaxseeds contain many beneficial nutrients such as omega 3 fats, fiber, vitamins and minerals to cleanse the colon.

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups filtered water
  • 5 cups organic blue berries, fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 2 cups organic romaine lettuce chopped
  • Lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
  • A plant based protein powder (optional)
Instructions

In a blender, place all the ingredients and process until your smoothie is completely smooth. Enjoy it cold throughout the day.
